Minimal Facts Interview

Minimal Facts training is designed to empower professionals and adults committed to protecting children from abuse and neglect by teaching them how to recognize indicators, understand legal obligations, respond appropriately to suspicions or disclosures, and effectively report suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities.

Objectives:

  • Gain an Understanding of CAC’s and how we can help build stronger cases
  • Learn about child abuse
  • Learn how to conduct a Minimal Facts Interview

Presenters:

Skylar Helrich, BSW, Director of Forensic Services, DCAC

Skylar graduated from Minot State University with a Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2022. Before starting as a Forensic Interviewer, she completed her undergraduate internship at the DCAC. She received forensic interview training from the National Children’s Advocacy Center in 2022. Skylar went into social work because of her passion for helping people during difficult times, and the DCAC allows her to do that.
