Understanding Problematic Sexual Behaviors

Multidisciplinary Team Training - multiple dates available

Two Location Options:
Dickinson: Wednesday, June 18th @ 11AM MT Dakota Room, 2680 Empire Rd, Door C Dickinson ND
Bismarck: Wednesday, August 20th @ 12PM CT Morton Cty Mandan Law Enforcement Center 205 1st Ave NW, Mandan
  1. Participants will be able to distinguish between developmentally appropriate sexual behaviors and problematic sexual behaviors.
  2. Participants will gain knowledge on research-informed guidelines to keep kids with problematic sexual behaviors in the home and school.
  3. Participants will learn the referral process to evidence-based therapy (Problematic Sexual Behavior Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) provided by the DCAC for children ages 3-18 who are displaying problematic sexual behavior.

Presenter:

Eneida Vilella-Loraas, MA, LPCC-S

Eneida Vilella-Loraas, MA, LPCC-S is a bilingual therapist at the Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center. She provides several evidence-based treatments to youth and their families affected by trauma in Spanish and English. Eneida has presented nationally, advocating for language justice in the world of Children’s Advocacy Centers. Eneida assisted in the launch of the Telehealth Outreach Program for Traumatized Youth in North Dakota and is a telehealth co-trainer nationwide.

Mariah Banse, MSW, LMSW

 Mariah Banse
Maria Banse is a Licensed Master Social Worker
and has been with the DCAC since May 2024. She graduated from Florida State University in 2024 with her Master’s in Social Work. Mariah has experience working with individuals with disabilities and advocating for client independence and inclusion.
