A trauma-informed, military-informed model
This webinar introduces the MITI Kids framework, a trauma-informed, military-informed model designed to address the social, emotional, and developmental needs of military-connected youth. Military families navigate unique challenges—frequent relocations, deployment-related separations, and the impact of service-related injuries—that affect children’s well-being and family dynamics. Through a strengths-based approach, participants will learn how to recognize and respond to these challenges using evidence-based interventions.
Attendees will also explore practical resources for enhancing resilience, preventing re-traumatization, and fostering safe, supportive environments for military families. Emphasizing empowerment, trust, and cultural competence, this training equips professionals with tools to support youth across clinical, educational, and community settings. Join us to build skills and expand your capacity to serve military families effectively.
